There are around 100 TV Channels working right now in Pakistan while only two of them are Sports Channels that are Geo Super and PTV Sports Streaming. Geo Super is owned by popular Geo TV Network that has several other TV channels as well. PTV Sports is owned by PTV Network that is owned by the state of Pakistan.
It was launched back in January 2012 In the Peoples Party Government through Asia Sat and very soon it got very popular because it started showing different sports events Live and exclusive specially all the Cricket matches of Pakistani Cricket Team. It also shown TV World Cup 2012 and Pakistan Vs India Series in December and January 2012 and 2013.
PTV Sports Live is showing all the big tournaments related to Soccer, Hockey, Cricket, Kabadi and other sports which has given it great viewership. the channel is even watchable on antenna along with Cable TV.
The Good news is that the Channel will continue to show all Cricket matches of Pakistani team till 2016 which includes the Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia because it has bought the rights.
Some of the popular Programs of this channel are Sports Circle, Keh Dein Jo Kehna Hai, Spice Views, Sports Tonight. Dr Nouman and Aamir Sohail has also done Programs for PTV Sports Live in the past.
The Memorable events that the channel shown so far includes Asia Cup, T20 World cup, Kabadi Tournaments, Women Cricket World Cup, Ashes Series of England and Australia.

It is an unfortunate consequence of our civilizations history that ptv sports live is rarely given rational consideration by the over 50, who are likely to form a major stronghold in the inevitable battle for hearts and minds.
